ZDNet News, Apple will release next Tuesday the new Mac Pro desktop workstation top model, equip with Intel’s flagship six-core processor, Core i7-980X.
Based on 32nm Westmere microarchitecture of the Core i7-980X offers six-core 12-thread processor clocked at 3.33GHz, Turbo Boost frequency of 3.60GHz, QPI bus frequency 6.4GT / s, 2 cache 6×256KB, 3 cache 12MB.
Built-in three-channel DDR3-1066 memory controllers. Follow the LGA 1366 interface, TDP power 130W. At present, Apple Mac Pro use the 45nm Nehalem micro-architecture Xeon quad-core Xeon processors, high model is dual-quad-core processors.
