Las Vegas, United States broadcast television industry show NAB 2009, NVIDIA released GPU television visual effects in real-time processing platform, called NVIDIA Quadro Digital Video Pipeline.
The platform based on Quadro FX series of professional graphics cards, but with adding a dedicated input and output cards, for the use of the television industry standards SDI, collect and output uncompressed digital video.
The entire platform, including:
Quadro SDI capture card, the maximum support of 4-way HD-SDI Single link video signal source at the same time. Supports all SMPTE standard formats (3G, 2K, HD, SD), and to support a monitor output BNC. Using PCI-E x8, collected video signal through the PCI-E bus output to the memory of Quadro graphics cards.
Quadro SDI output cards can be processed in real-time 2D/3D effects screen to 2K, HD or SD standard non-compressed video, real-time output, and Quadro graphics cards used as cable + DVI connector.
Quadro FX professional graphics cards, optional Quadro FX 3800, Quadro FX 4800 or Quadro FX 5800. The core of the entire platform, real-time visual effects processing.
Quadro Digital Video Pipeline SDK, including the API, the software plug-ins and sample. To allow industry users to develop their own platform for the visual effects processing software, acquired from the video output, to provide easy-to-use programmable controls the entire process.
Quadro Digital Video Pipeline will be available beginning in August of this year, priced from ranging from 5000 to 8000 U.S. dollars.
