Samsung single 32GB DDR3 memory

Samsung today announced the world’s first single capacity up to 32GB of DDR3 memory, but the memory of RDIMM to support Registered memory, specifically for the server market.

This large-capacity memory technology based on Samsung’s 50nm particles 4Gb memory, working voltage of 1.35V. Total memory used for each 72 4Gb DDR3 Die, 18 memory chips stars. Through QDP (quad-die package) multi-packaging technology, with each package storage granules 4 die, both sides of the 9 particles (including parity bit), formed the amazing capacity of 32GB.

Samsung cited the IDC report, DDR3 is expected in 2009 will account for the global DRAM market, 29% in 2011 to reach 75%. And more than 2Gb and particle mass market in 2009 accounted for only 3% of capacity in 2011 will reach 33%.
