Samsung released SpinPoint M7 series 640GB 2.5-inch hard drive, use 320GB per-platter technology, storage density per square inch 516Gbit, higher than the previous generations and 28%.
The new series of 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB of five models, both 5400rpm rotational speed, 8MB cache, 3.0Gbps SATA, support NCQ, the work of state seismic 400G (2ms), the non-working condition 900G (1ms). Support SilentSeek, NoiseGuard such as Samsung’s patented technology.
Samsung, SpinPoint M7 series will be in mid-September first in Europe and the United States market, the end of the global market, 640GB version is priced at 149.99 U.S. dollars.
