Samsung X360 VS MacBook Air

 

 Samsung X360  has a 13.3-inch SuperBright LED- backlit LCD with a resolution of 1280×800. The notebook uses an Intel Centrino 2 ULV processor with an 800 MHz front side bus. Operating system choices include Windows Vista Basic, Home Premium, and Business.

The X360 can support from 1GB to 4GB of DDR3 RAM at 1066MHz. Several storage options are available, including a 120GB 5,400 rpm hard drive, a 64GB solid state drive (SSD), and a 128GB SSD. The notebook ships with an external DVD super multi/dual-layer writer rather than an internal optical drive. A fingerprint reader is also built-in to provide biometric security. Samsung treats the keyboard with nano-sized silver ion particles that kill bacteria

Graphics for the notebook are Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500. Wireless connectivity includes 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. A wired LAN port is included as well. Other features include a 7-in-1 memory card reader, a trio of USB ports, 34mm ExpressCard slot, HDMI out, headphone out, VGA out, and one docking port. The display also houses a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Battery life for the X360 is rated at up to 10 hours.

The Samsung X360 is expected to be available in Europe in September at an undisclosed price. Samsung declined to comment on availability in America.
